When shooting with us at CAST Away you will see very fast that SAFETY is the #1 most important aspect during the weekend. It starts with a safety breifing along with a short firearms familiarity review. All courses of fire will have full explanations and walk throughs. 

       Competition is kept light and based on an individual performance. This is for fun and improving your individual skills. Shooting disciplines will cover shotgun, pistol and rifle. Both bolt action and semi-auto rifles may be utilized during the weekends shooting activites. 

       We have a gear tent in which to segregate all shooting equipment and keep them out of the weather. If you wish to bring a plastic table on which to store your firearms and ammo for the weekend, it is highly recommended.

       Firearms and ammo will be kept in the gear tent exclusively until we are ready to use them for a competition or practice session. 

       After we are finished shooting, all firearms and accessories will be again stored in the gear tent until the next morning, keeping firearms separate from our campfire and tent areas as safety is mandatory. 

      Firearms will NOT be handled after alcohol is open.

There are some regulations to keep in mind when bringing your own firearms:

- All firearms must be in good operating condition.
-ALL firearms must be transported unloaded and kept unloaded until after safety breifing has been completed.
-Pisols used in competitions must have a form fitting holster which will firmly and actively keep firearm secure during running.

-Rifles used in Run N Gun must have a magazine capacity of at least 10 rounds and must have a sling securely attached.

-NO FULLY AUTOMATIC FIREARMS

-ALL NFA Controlled items must be accompanied with necessary documentation PERIOD. No exceptions.
